NJROTC
Navy JROTC teaches leadership, self-confidence, self-discipline, naval history, geography, military orientation, health, physical fitness, government, international law, navigation, naval science, citizenship, seamanship, oceanography, meteorolgy, astronomy, and radar and sonar electronics. Students must be of good moral character and not be a discipline problem. They must be physically able to take part in the school’s normal physical education program. Students must agree to comply with uniform and grooming standards. Students may enroll in classes during the school day for a maximum of 2 credits per year. JNROTC is also offered as a before school class on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:15-7:50 a.m., for 1 credit per year.

NOTE: Classes and labs in NJROTC will automatically be recorded on a training record applicable toward maritime industry prerequisite trining. This training will prepare a student for one of the various career pathways in the maritime industry.
